WEB SHOP CLOSES BUT SOUVENIER ITEMS STILL AVAILABLE IN OUR RAILWAY SHOP
Due to the very difficult trading conditions I have now closed my online web shop. We are however looking to stock more of the popular items in our railway shop, items such as Thomas Flags, Windmills, Bubbles are available as well as a growing range of the popular Thomas Take N Play range.
NEW THOMAS RIDE IS HERE!! The latest addition to our railway is an electric Thomas ride. I bought it from another railway in the south of England in May 2008 and brought it back on the back of my loco trailer. You should have seen the looks we got, with cars pulling alongside of us on the motorway to get a better look and lots of children waving. Rides are 50p for one ride or £1 for three. Over the last three years it has proved to be a popular item.
CHILDREN'S SELF DRIVE TRAM!!
NEW IN AUGUST 2011 we now have a new ride for the younger children a Drive Your Own "Trevor The Tram" it is £1 for two rides up and down its track and can take two children at a time, it is proving to be very popular with the kids and you should see the look on their faces when they are driving it themselves. Just look at the picture of Andrew & Lewis. Children up to the age of Ten can drive the Tram up and down a short length of track.
Why not have a birthday party for your little ones birthday. You can hire the miniature railway for an hour for as little as £40. You have exclusive use of the train for the hour and can have as many rides as you can fit in during that time. Now you can also hire Trevor The Tram for an extra £10 for 25 rides up and down, share them between the party goers for more fun. Contact us on the number above or call at the railway for details.NEW PLAY AREA OPEN/PARK REDEVELOPMENT!!
During 2013 and until around May 2014 Grosvenor Park is having a lot of refurbishment work carried out. But I can declare that the new play area adjecent to our track is finished and open to the public. It is really good and lots of people are using it with plenty to do for all ages up to about 14 years old. The pond is now being worked on and should be finished around the end of January, it is being cleaned out, new walling built and soft edging. The new visitor centre and toilets have a tiled roof (but still lots of work to do) and the park lodge is being worked on with lots of internal work completed and the framework for the conservatory in place.
The ongoing refurbishment is still causing a lot of disruption but please keep visiting the park as a lot of the improved pathways will be reopening shortly. There is still much more work to be done but it will look really good when it is finished. THE RAILWAY IS OPEN AS NORMAL and may have extra opening days on Saturdays during December & January if the weather is good. We will be open on Boxing Day and New Years Day but sadly no steam this year. Steve Hardin December 3rd 2013.
