Welcome to Grosvenor Park
Miniature Railway Website. GPMR is a 7¼" gauge railway
located only a few minutes walk from Chester's historic city centre.
The railway, built in 1996 to commemorate the centenary of the Duke of
Westminster's railway at nearby Eaton Hall, is popular with young and
old alike and has become one of Chester's top tourist attractions.
We
operate steam and diesel
hauled trains, on a ¼ mile circuit around the lake in

Our new web shop is now three years old this April and is as popular as ever. We are now fulfilling nearly four thousand orders a year and still growing. The web shop is light, bright and fun to use. NEW THOMAS RIDE IS HERE!! The latest addition to our railway is an electric Thomas ride. I bought it from another railway in the south of England in May 2008 and brought it back on the back of my loco trailer. You should have seen the looks we got, with cars pulling alongside of us on the motorway to get a better look and lots of children waving. Rides are 50p for one ride or £1 for three. Over the last two years it has proved to be a popular item.
The railway is now open Saturdays and Sundays 10.30am until 5.00pm. The weather is getting better and we are all looking forward to a good summer especially after such a wet and cold start to Easter. You can also book the railway for birthday parties for £30 for a whole hour, why don't you give me a call or email us for more details.
